COSTS OF VOLUNTEERING AND PACKAGE OFFERED.



COSTS:
A one-time Registration Fee of US$190, plus US$540 per month (30 days at US$18 per day) to cover your family homestay.

Payment and administration forms are not required until arrival. This gives volunteers the opportunity to ensure that they are comfortable with their host families and their placements.


However, in the case of the three-month Gap Year Program, you have to produce information and payments upon acceptance of your application. Also costs are different, as they include a special package. Details of the package will be sent at your request.

What does the one-time Registration Fee cover?

• The host family picking you up at Quito's airport between 7 a.m. and 11p.m. For later arrivals, VE will pay for you to take a taxi to your assigned family home.
• Registration
• Visits to various placements before you choose one.
• Orientation: information regarding the assigned project or program of your choice, city transport, personal security, etc.
•Continuous support throughout the duration of your volunteering vacation.
• Twenty-four hour assistance and support.

Certificate or Diploma upon completion of the volunteering vacation. If you volunteer position lasts more than 16 weeks (112 days), the Diploma is issued in an elegant metal and mahogany plaque, like the picture above.

What the does Host Family cost cover?

- UNLIMITED, 24-HOUR ACCESS TO HIGH-SPEED INTERNET AT THE HOST HOME. Bring your own laptop.

• Home:
located in El Batán, a secure, middle-class neighborhood of Quito. Our host family homes are located very close one to another to facilitate our volunteers' personal relationships, night and weekend activities, and tour plans.
• Bedroom: Five-star, fully equipped room (TV and DVD sets, reading lamps, hair dryer, independent closets, carpets), which is normally shared with another volunteer of the same gender. Volunteer couples, whether married or not, can also be accommodated.
• Bathroom: Five-star private shower and bath tub with hot water the entire day. You should bring your own towels and personal bath items.
• Food: is available. For more information, please contact us with your dietary requirements.
• Laundry: Once a week.
• Telephone: Two times per day (local calls only).

At the cost of the volunteer,

• Spanish lessons at our affiliated school (see the Spanish Learning section ).
• WE DO NOT ORGANISE ANY TOURS, TRIPS OR OUTINGS. Activities like workouts, aerobics, gym, salsa dance courses and bullfights, as well as trips to the Galapagos Islands, jungle, Pacific coast and mountains, should be organized independently by volunteers / students of Spanish / tourists.

No payments or application form in advance. Pay upon arrival in Quito, except for Gap Year participants.

After you send the basic information required in our Contact Us section, VE does not require you to send any payment nor fill out any application form in advance. However you should send a short CV (your personal and academic background) and a scanned photo of yourself. These are necessary for the immigration authorities and our records.
