Our mission is two fold

Cecile Bellamy from France made possible to finance the school bus transportation for 4 disabled children, for one year.

Firstly: To contribute to lessen the suffering of the Ecuadorian needy, especially poor and abandoned children.

Secondly: Upon the termination of your volunteer work to have you as a life member of the VE (with no more fees). We hope you do not forget us and be our advisor and our contact at your family, friends, office, neighbourhood, etc. For this purpose having the permission of the former volunteer, his/her name and e-mail address would appear in this web site under the "Contacts" or "Volunteers Opinions" section. This is the best source of reference to be contacted by potential volunteers. First hand impressions of our former volunteers are the most honest and trustful opinions of the work VE carries on.

We work along a path of service: Social projects organized by the VE or by other institutions in Ecuador to which the VE co-operates with. The VE provides them with volunteers as instructors or assistants under its supervision. In addition to this, after covering the VE operating costs, tours offered, etc., by the registration fee and the host family's donation, the VE makes small donations to those institutions to which VE co-operates with. The VE provides them with medicines, school materials, food, entertainment, etc., a special contribution are our donations to cover partially the cost of medical treatment, especially open-heart surgeries of poor children.

Volunteer work: The VE will provide you with a volunteer placement according to your age, gender, abilities, experience and interest. During your volunteering, the VE will follow up your work and progress to ensure that both your and our aims and interests are being fulfilled. Details on this issue are under the “Projects” section of this web site.
